> Doug Warren - Assistant Coach dwarren@thesaginawsting.com After a successful career as a player, Doug Warren looks to continue his success in the indoor game as the new defensive line coach for the Saginaw Sting. Warren, a 1991 graduate of Port Huron High school, attended St. Clair County Community College and Western Michigan University as a business management major. Warren, who currently lives in Lexington, Michigan with his girlfriend Sarah, played for the Port Huron Pirates in 2006 and 2007, before moving on to play for the Sting in 2008. In his three years of playing in the Continental Indoor Football League he won two league championship (2006, 2008.) His prior coaching experience includes being the defensive line coach for Port Huron High School during the 2000 to 2006 seasons. > Mike Leibinger - Assistant Coach mleibinger@thesaginawsting.com Mike Leibinger, played quarterback at SVSU from 1982-1985. Two year starting QB that led the team to a league title in 1984 and finished 3rd in the Nation in the national playoffs. Coached two years at CMU during the 1987-88 years under Hall of Fame coach Herb Deromedi. Went on to become the Defensive coordinator at SVSU from 1989-1995 under George Ihler. Coached three years at Heritage high school and four seasons at Arthur hill high school here locally. I'm the Head hockey coach for the Swan Valley/Hemlock Titans for the past three seasons in which we have won two league titles and we have amassed over 50 wins in that short period. Born and raised in Saginaw where I reside with my family, Bridget my wife and three children Evan, Sarah, and Katie. |
